Welcome to 5th grade!  We are looking forward to an exciting year :)

Background:

I joined Bexley City Schools in 2011, after teaching 5th grade in South-Western City Schools.  I am originally from Cleveland and my husband and I have 3 children.  We are pleased to call Bexley home and love being part of this wonderful community!

5th Grade Studies:

Montrose uses the units of study from the Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP).  We have found this workshop model helps our students grow as readers and writers.

In math, we are using Number Talks, My Math, Rich Problems and other activities to grow mathematicians.

In Science and Social studies, students experience hands-on activities designed to guide them in discovering new ideas.
