Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! I am delighted to be working with your family this year. Kindergarten will be filled with countless learning and exploration opportunities. Throughout the first few weeks of school we will engage in many community building activities. Throughout the year we will strive to create a community that fosters learning and growing as we celebrate our accomplishments and work together through our challenges. Kindergarten offers many opportunities for your child to become more independent and responsible with his/her work habits.  Fostering a sense of enjoyment and excitement for the learning process is one way in which the development of lifelong learners is supported during the school year.

About me

I am so thrilled to be teaching kindergarten at Montrose Elementary! I love teaching and cannot imagine doing anything else! I am a product of Bexley schools and am so excited to be back. I went to Cassingham Elementary, and graduated from Bexley High. From there, I attended college at Michigan State University where I received an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts. After graduation, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where I taught first grade for one year and then five more years of teaching Kindergarten. I taught Kindergarten at Maryland Elementary last year. My husband Mark and I moved back to Columbus in June of 2014 to be with our families. I look forward to an amazing year with all of your children!
