Bexley High School Library

Mike Nolan, Teacher-Librarian, Bexleo (yearbook) Advisor, Book Club Advisor, and Technology Assistant

The Library is a place for quiet study, collaborative group work, computer projects and research.  We have a cornucopia of resources for research available on the library website

We can help you draft and polish papers for any subject and conduct research on any topic.  We can solve many of your technology problems as well.

The library is home to the BHS Book Club.  Our captains and discussion leaders this year are Vahni Kurra and Lilly Sher.  All books are chosen by students.  Anyone who has read the BHS book-of-the-month is welcome to attend.  We always enjoy delicious food from local restaurants for a mere $5 (or you can bring your lunch).  The Book Club’s selected titles and schedule are available on the Book Club page

My Educational Background:
B.A., Liberal Arts, The Evergreen State College
B.A., Russian, University of California, Irvine
M.A., Russian, The Ohio State University
Teaching Certificates/Endorsements (all from OSU): Library-Media Specialist, TESOL (Teachers of English to Speaker of Other Languages), Russian, English, Reading (expected, summer 2016).

A little about me: I live in Bexley with my beautiful and accomplished wife Amy, who teaches special education at Colerain Elementary school in Columbus; Amy is also pursuing a PhD in education at OSU.  Our son Sam is a 2014 graduate of Bexley High School and now a student at Kent State, majoring in special ed.

I love to walk, hike and bike, go to the movies (we’re regulars at the Drexel Theater), photograph school events, and, of course, read.  My wife and I also enjoy BalletMet and the occasional Broadway-in-Columbus performance.  We love listening to Prairie Home Companion and are heartbroken that Garrison Keillor is retiring.
