Music at Montrose

All students in kindergarten through sixth grade have general music class twice a week for 35 minutes. In 4th grade, students have the opportunity to join orchestra. Students wishing to participate in band may do so beginning in 5th grade. All 4th, 5th, and 6th grade orchestra and band students rehearse twice a week for 35 minutes, which is in addition to their general music classes. The Montrose Choir is open to all 5th and 6th grade students and meets twice a week for 30 minutes. There are a variety of performance opportunities for general music, orchestra, band, and choir students throughout the school year.
